Creative Director inspires us by passionately referencing her culture and intertwining modernity. She was motivated by the grace of Japanese calligraphy in which technical designs are used such as fine pleats, solid lines /edges, traditional « suminagashi » approach resembling tainted ink and dip dye.

The suminagashi technique is an ancient way of marbling link. It dates back to the 8th to 12th Century and was used by craftsmen. The beauty of this is that no two patterns are ever the same, each pattern will always be unique in it’s own way. Katsura demonstrated an unbelievable 18 kids of pleats inspired by architecture in Japan known as « Sukiya-Zukuri ».

The designs include a multitude of ruffles on sleeves, impeccably exquisite pleats completely surrounding the neck and head, beautifully dip dyed rumples starting from refreshing white to deep violet. Dresses in magnificent from short to long flowing through the runway with every move. Details of expertly cut fringe streaming down like liquid.
