FRENCH COWBOY shot an incredible Viking inspired editorial for IRK Magazine's "Here Comes Tribal issue" called Nordlig Oförskräckt Dotter (Fierce Daughters From the North.)
"Nordlig oförskräckt dotter" is the story of three sisters fighting against the cold winter of the north. We wanted to show brave women in a country where the women soldiers were as well considered as the men. The detailed braids represent protective armor and the makeup shows how difficult and cold it is to live in the nordic winter. Their inner lips are stained as if they had bitten down on them, their eyebrows are frozen white, their eyes are dark and intense, and their cheeks are scratched on depicting a determined warriors status. The furs, jewelry, and the jewelled armor were carefully chosen to further tell the story.
