Haute Couture Fashion Week is the opportunity for designers to show their creativity and passion for what they do or have been working for months, a red carpet event is not complete without a celebrity or two in one of these collections. Lebanese designers have become for the past several years synonymous with glamour, and it seems that the couture industry is giving them more recognition, although there is still a long way to go.

Despite their differing backgrounds, there is something that unites these designers beyond their creations and feminine silhouettes. They are dresses that offer the additional element of feeling empowered.

When it comes to fashion design in Paris Haute Couture globally inspired designers such as Elie Saab, Zuhair Murad and Georges Hobeika are held in high esteem, this is due to the fact that they are considered trendsetters of regional fashion inspired by and for the Middle East couture client.

Russian Aristocracy Takes Paris at Zuhair Murad

Murad's Fall 2018 couture was inspired by the opulence of the Imperial Russia. The designer recreated the Great Ball at Hotel Potocki. The clothing had a sense of duality, a mix of feminine and masculine, highlighting sharp silhouettes and plunging necklines in addition to military-influenced jackets punctuated with heavy beading and embellishment.

Fashion Weeks are often an exciting time without much sleep for everyone involved, from models, show producers to makeup artists, stylists and photographers, Audiences look forward to viewing a large number of designer's creations it was not surprising that the latest collection from Zuhair Murad was elegant and beautifully presented, making it a great pleasure to see earning it a position as one of the top couture for Fall Winter 2018 collections.

Distinguishing Beauty: Georges Hobeika

'We are inspired by love this month.' Georges Hobeika created a dreamy runway show combining sensuality, elegance and femininity in every in each look. He is a highly creative personality who presented, his trademark delicate motifs, light colours, and handmade embroidery that reflect the house's love of celebrating the female form. The high necklines, delicate ruffles, feathers, magnificent lace, were the key elements within the collection. The modern touch was seen in the artistic prints of flowers combined with transparent fabrics and embroidery.

There are few things that surpass an haute couture collection at Palais Chaillot showcased on a runway with a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower facing the Seine River. Magnifique!!
