GEORGES CHAKRA Couture Spring-Summer 2020

Georges Chakra's Spring-Sumer 2020 collection presented at the magnificent Petit Palais filled the runway with color, movements and a joyful spirit; keeping his collection highly varied but faithful to his classical spirit.

Inspiring himself from his home country, Lebanon, the designer evokes the energy of its youth and an ideal of peace and freedom for its people. The richness of the collection was all about appliques, embroideries, prints, and pleated organzas, iconic elements of the Chakra, leaving only two draped dresses in plain fabric.

This season the designer proposes a particularly wide range of acid colors, including several pieces in fair greens and blues that counteract with the warm spirit of the summer. Transparents fluid capes which the models moved along in their walk added a touch of fantasy and playfulness to the looks. Mini dresses with 3/4 bell sleeves conveyed a 1970's disco look.
