First Sunshine, the new collection by Haute Couture Designer Juilen Fournié, is a breath of fresh air with light flowing gowns that are made for a modern Woman. Freedom, magic, and summer are the words that come to mind as we watched this new collection down the catwalk in Paris.
Twenty-five silhouettes evolved to construct "First Sunshine," a strongly summery and joyous collection with new cuts in Julien's repertoire. A tribute to free-spirited women aimed to highlight their essence and simply celebrate the delight of living in the open air. Women or men may equally look strong in the shining white tuxedo with golden touches. The petticoats, which are always short in the front, re-create the spirit of 18th century design in a lighter construction to accommodate movement. IRK loves the look of a long asymmetrical jacket over a flowing dress. Drapes and pleats complement rather than obstruct body shapes. With its light and delicate fabrics and precise color palette, the collection answers the desire for freshness.
Transparencies, cuts, and inlays allow bodies to breathe, reveal skin, and highlight each woman's personality. Three exquisit fresco gowns play with embroidered transparencies in the final bouquet, summoning the sun at morning, zenith, and twilight. The bride's embroidered silhouette in triple silk organza unfolds. The spouse keeps her feminine magic without a veil through superb embroidery.
