If you could close your eyes for a minute and dream of the ultimate wedding outfit a few things might come to mind. For me, satin lined with pearls and over the top shapes spring to the forefront of my imagination. Luckily for me, Stephane Rolland's latest Haute Couture collection included all four, moving up on my wish list of things “I absolutely don't need but absolutely must have.”

Swanning down the catwalk models were followed by an excess of flowing fabric which resembled water lilies in summer slowly making their way to the other side of the pond with a light summer breeze. Along with flowing fabric was a rich satin that was prominent throughout the collection, giving each garment depth and elegance.

Curvature was a prominent inspiration for each garment as circles and curves can be seen on almost every garment. This infinite shape made for luxurious cutouts showing just the right amount of clavicle, giving a modern twist on the otherwise traditional and elegant forms.
