Yanina Fashion House has drawn inspiration from the legendary beauties of the sixties for their 2020 Spring/Summer collection. First founded by Yulia Yanina in Moscow in 1993, Yanina has dressed women around the world for over two decades – and is a favoured brand by women in fashion such as Gigi Hadid, Lucy Liu, Kate Hudson and Lady Gaga.
Inviting guests to the Musée des Arts décoratifs, Yanina presented their new collection during Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week. With the likes of Audrey Hepburn, Jaqueline Kennedy, Lee Radziwill and Twiggy in mind, designer Yulia Yanina showed that she could step aside from her usual discreet black and white style and work with colours and flower details instead.
Yanina’s collection consisted of romantic dresses with bold patterns and strong colours such as blue, yellow and different nuances of pink. The addition of hairbands gave the collection a playful flair. According to the fashion house; “rebellious spirit under the bourgeois classics” is the mood they want to set for their new chapter going forward.
Towards the end of the show, Yanina presented some of their iconic pieces; black dresses with signature embroidery as well as chaste, outrageous, classical and audacious cuts. Dresses – which according to the Fashion House – are meant for women who want to make a difference. Yanina’s collection can be described as an ode to freedom and boldness, as it magnifies the female body with chic and timeless pieces.
