Designer Julien Fournié SS20, The Adventure Begins

Designer Julien Fournié was influenced by great explorers who traverse human history and the emancipation of women. Colonists, pioneers, or visionaries navigate the wild. Although they disobey social codes, their curiosity about the world and their desire for freedom allows them to find their own truth. This beautiful Haute Couture collection took us on a whirlwind tour to Pre-Columbian cultures, tribes of Africa, as well as the Sahara’s Berber and Tuareg arts.

The artist’s vision of woman is strong, and elegant. Moreover outside the male ideals that fueled predators through colonization, women proclaim their control through lives lived fully. Doubteldy mutual exploration, through recognition of distinction, and acts of mutual assistance.

The French Haute Couture designer, masters the female silhouette, while moving toward more casual attire, adorned with, feathers, animal prints, lace and talisman like embroidery. Forms are often adorned with several strap belts, such as bags or bandoliers, essential equipment for the explorers of new territories. At least that collection that flows through time and marvels over the huntress, the female adventurer, and in the same way embraces feminine strength.

Fearless Woman

Every piece in the collection is a narrative moreover rich embroidery evokes sacred symbols, while at the same time, layered fabrics gracefully suggest movement through changing landscapes. In addition, belts, leather pouches, and sculptural jewerly not only serve as tools but also adornments. It celebrating the Designer Julien Fournié’s vision of woman as an intrepid fearless, self-aware, and unbound by convention.
