Concept Korea in New York: A Creative Spotlight on Concept Korea

Concept Korea in New York once again proved to be a stage for fearless design and global creativity. The showcase presented the work of emerging designers LIE by Lee Chung Chung and GREEDILOUS by Younhee Park. Together, they unveiled 25 looks that highlighted bold textures, vibrant colors, and inventive silhouettes. In addition, Concept Korea demonstrated the power of cultural fusion while giving rising talents a platform to shine internationally. The event epitomized Concept Korea in New York’s celebration of innovative talent.

LIE’s Workwear with an Artistic Twist

LIE’s collection focused on workwear but offered a new interpretation through an Americanized version of wabi sabi. The designs broke symmetry with stripes, sculptural lines, and mismatched accessories. Sixty nine year old model Maye Musk opened the show wearing a white t shirt with the phrase I’MPERFECT under a crisp white jacket. Some looks also included pageant style sashes reading PERFECTLY IMPERFECT, a message echoed on the brow bone of each model. Colors suggested blooming flowers, shifting from soft pastels as well as striking neon tones. With trench coats, jackets, and bombers, LIE blended playful imperfection with sharp tailoring. This collection was a testament to the creative essence of New York’s Concept Korea.

GREEDILOUS Brings Streetwear Drama

GREEDILOUS followed with a dynamic collection that combined both workwear and streetwear energy. The brand’s signature stripe prints created depth and movement. At the same time, baseball caps and backpacks gave a casual touch, while feathers on hems and a motorcycle jacket over flared disco pants added drama. The color palette shifted from monochrome to vivid hues, creating strong visual contrast. By closing with a voluminous gown, GREEDILOUS reinforced the bold fashion vision of New York’s Concept Korea.

Ruffles, Music, and Cultural Blends

Both designers explored ruffles along cuffs, skirts, and pleats. The runway music, including Ariana Grande’s Side to Side, emphasized the influence of American street culture. The music and styling underlined Concept Korea’s theme of blending styles and cultures, resulting in a lively and experimental showcase that embodied the spirit of Korea’s Concept in New York.
