LUCY DACUS RELEASES DUAL SINGLES

With two new singles, Dacus reminds us why she is one of indie’s most captivating voices. Lucy Dacus’ new singles arrive like confessions whispered in a crowded room. Since the 1960s, songwriters have transformed private thoughts into public expressions of rebellion. Dacus continues that tradition with “Bus Back To Richmond” and “More Than Friends.”

A DOUBLE RELEASE WITH DEPTH

Bus Back To Richmond

The first track feels cinematic. It carries the weight of return, of homecoming, of unfinished stories. Each note lingers like the pause before memory takes hold.

More Than Friends

The second single explores boundaries. Desire collides with restraint, friendship strains under the tension of almost-love. As a result, intimacy becomes both fragile and powerful.

Limited Vinyl Release

Not only that, the songs will exist on a limited 7” vinyl. Vintage Bottle colour. Only 2,000 copies. Consequently, each pressing feels like an artefact.

ARTWORK AND AESTHETICS

Visual Storytelling

The singles feature artwork by Nicole Jaclyn Smith. Bold yet tender, the visuals expand the songs’ emotional world.

Album Reimagined

Yesterday, Dacus revealed new artwork for Forever Is A Feeling. Jon Henry photographed a painting by Will St. John. Therefore, the album now holds the cover she originally imagined. It feels painterly, melancholy, mythic.

THE FOREVER IS A FEELING TOUR

Wedding Rituals On Stage

Moreover, Dacus is on her second North American tour leg. However, this is not a typical tour. She is officiating weddings for fans mid-show. Because of this, her concerts feel communal, part celebration, part ritual.

Festivals And Homecomings

The tour has already sold out at Radio City, Red Rocks, and The Greek. Up next: Vancouver, Richmond, and festival stops at Shaky Knees and All Things Go. For instance, the Richmond date promises the intimacy of homecoming.

LUCY DACUS

Three-time Grammy winner Lucy Dacus has shared “Bus Back To Richmond” and “More Than Friends,” following her acclaimed album Forever Is A Feeling, which dropped in March with standouts like “Best Guess,” “Bullseye” with Hozier, and “Ankles,” her first top-five solo radio hit.

With new music, striking visuals, and a tour that feels more like a shared ritual than a performance, Dacus isn’t just cementing her place in indie music; she’s redefining it.

She’s interested in the connection between image and meaning: how a campaign, an outfit, or a trend can say something deeper about identity, mood, and the cultural moment.

She’s especially drawn to how Generation Z uses fashion and beauty to express individuality, often in bold, layered, and playful ways. She’s also curious about how social media continues to reshape storytelling, changing how we create, share, and connect through visual culture.

To Kendra, fashion is more than just style; it’s a language! One that reflects who we are, how we feel, and what we stand for. She’s committed to sustainability and believes fashion and culture should not only inspire but also respect the planet.
