Litkovska Ss26 Runway Press Look10

LITKOVSKA Spring-Summer 2026 “(DIS)CONNECTED”

The LITKOVSKA Spring-Summer 2026 (DIS)CONNECTED collection hit Paris Fashion Week like a quiet storm. Designer Lilia Litkovska turned the runway into a meditation on tension: belonging versus detachment, visibility versus invisibility, silence versus voice. As a result, her work asked what it means to stay real in a world built on pressure to conform.

The inspiration came from art brut, raw works created outside mainstream culture. At first glance, such art feels apart from global narratives. However, its sincerity often cuts deeper than the noise that surrounds us. That raw honesty ran through every thread of this collection.

From Camouflage to Defiance

The duality of connection and disconnection materialized in a striking installation. Litkovska imagined Ukrainian camouflage mesh, normally used to protect soldiers, in pink. In doing so, she transformed a material built to hide into a symbol of resilience. Therefore, a tool of concealment became a declaration of visibility and defiance. Bold, vulnerable, and uncompromising, the installation reminded audiences of Ukraine’s ongoing fight for freedom.

Clothes That Refuse Conformity

The duality of connection and disconnection materialized in a striking installation. Litkovska reimagined Ukrainian camouflage mesh, normally used to protect soldiers, in pink. In doing so, she transformed a material built to hide into a symbol of resilience. Therefore, a tool of concealment became a declaration of visibility and defiance.

“This project is about truth and resilience,” Litkovska said. “A material meant to conceal becomes a statement: bold, vulnerable, and uncompromising. It reminds us that the fight for freedom is ongoing, not only on the battlefield but also within ourselves.”

“This duality, connected and disconnected, came to life at the Paris Fashion Week presentation, where camouflage mesh, usually used to protect Ukrainian warriors, was reimagined in pink.” Litkovska said. “Transformed into an installation, it became a symbol of strength, resilience, and defiance. A material once meant to conceal was turned into a statement: bold, vulnerable, and uncompromising, raising awareness of the ongoing fight for freedom.”

Music, Poetry, and Resistance

The presentation did not rely on fashion alone. Ukrainian cultural figures Yuri Khustochka and Irena Karpa performed live. Music and poetry intertwined, amplifying the themes of strength and longing. Consequently, the show became more than a collection. It became an act of cultural memory and resistance.

A Question Left Behind

Beyond fabric and form, LITKOVSKA Spring-Summer 2026 (DIS)CONNECTED reflected the fragile state of the world. Litkovska suggested that the fight exists not only on battlefields but also within ourselves. Every choice to resist conformity becomes an act of defiance.

In the end, the collection left audiences with a haunting question: when we feel most detached, could that be the moment we are closest to ourselves and to one another?

Do you want me to keep it in this cultural critique magazine style, or should I also prepare a condensed press release version for media outlets?

One day when I was barely two my mom let me push her out of her bedroom. She was curious so she ran outside the house so she could watch me through the window. I climbed up on a chair by her vanity and started putting on her makeup. I loved playing dress up as a kid. Putting on my mom's sequin tube tops and high heeled shoes and then putting on a dance show in the lobby or the restaurant of the hotel/residence we lived in. It was the best childhood ever. Dress-up, dancing, playing with barbies, and drawing were my favorite things to do. I have not changed one bit today. If I am creating I am happy.

Now I am in Paris for the second time in my life and I am having a ball playing with my partner in crime Julien Crouigneau. We founded IRK Magazine together in 2015 and we are proud to collaborate with some amazing artists, and influencers.

We are also a photography duo under the pseudonym French Cowboy. We love to tell stories and create poetic images that are impactful.
