AKRO – Name your addiction
Sharon Whiting
We all have a weakness…something we just can’t resist no matter how hard we try. From tobacco to chocolate, coffee to cupcakes our personal addictions are part of what make us human, key elements of our personality that we can’t escape!
Addiction is the inspiration behind AKRO, a bold, unconventional fragrance brand capturing the essence of a hit, a high, a rush – the taste of everyday pleasures.
AKRO was born in Ladbroke Grove, London where founder Anaïs Cresp was living and learning about the world. Working in the pubs and bars of this vibrant enclave she quickly became obsessed by the scents around her; the flower stalls, coffee houses, charcoal grills, the whiskey and leather of the grand old Irish pubs and the inescapable haze of weed in the air. It was then that the idea came to her – could she bottle these addictive aromas and turn them into fragrances? With master perfumer Olivier Cresp, the man behind some most well-known fragrances on the planet (including Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue and Mugler’s Angel) as her father, the answer was a resounding, yes!
Each fragrance in the 13 strong collection takes a scent profile and ramps it up to its addictive max. What will be your addiction? These are mine…..

Akro Rise
Addicted to summer? Sultry nights in the city or castaway on a faraway beach, whatever your fantasy, this delicious fragrance hits the spot. Cocktail anyone? Coconut and pineapple recall that first Pina Colada while creamy sandalwood makes this a real skin scent.

Akro Breathe
Do you crave the outdoor life, a fix of nature at every opportunity? Breathe gives the feeling of being part of something greater – a world of silence, where nature is the only language. An aromatically intense fragrance full of bergamot and lavender.

Akro Smoke
Smoker, non-smoker….tobacco is the ancient crop that has lured people in with its enticing aroma for centuries. Smoke is the scent you’re not supposed to enjoy, but somehow, you can’t live without! Tonka bean and benzoin offer an additional sweet touch – I’m hooked!

Akro Smile
When Anais Cresp was a little girl, she asked Olivier to create a fragrance just for her. The result was Smile – as powerful as it is personal—a bottle full of joy for his daughter to carry through life. For years, Anaïs kept this scent to herself, but in 2024 she decided to share it with the world. Notes of sage, bergamot and raspberry make this a bright and vivid fragrance – the scent of happiness.

Akro Bake
That cupcake addiction? It’s right here in a bottle filled with the mouthwatering notes of this sweet treat. We all have our favourite flavour but for AKRO it is the tartness of lemon, balanced by smooth vanilla and nutty praline that offers the perfect hit.

NEW LAUNCH – Crush
And while we’re on the subject of patisserie-based delights, Crush is the latest addition to the AKRO portfolio. An interpretation of a rose macaron, this tooth achingly sweet confection is an explosion of textures and aromas full of roasted almond and lychee, Bulgarian rose and praline.
AKRO fragrances are intimate pleasures to be worn on the skin. Refined, magnetic and full of character your new obsession awaits.
