Nobi Talai SS19: Design, Movement & Life

Nobi Talai is effortless sophistication with flowing movement and strong attention to detail. Talai who had briefly been an interior designer, during which she created modern environments, featuring Bauhaus, Neue Sachlichkeit and 1950's Scandinavian design took her inspiration for her Spring Summer collection from Scandinavian designer Finn Juhl and specifically his famous Circle Rug and Pelican Chair. The collection is inspired by Finn Juhl's palette, organic lines, sculptural form, and circular patterns.

This season differentiates from past collections as Nobi Talai prints come to the forefront featuring the label's pomegranate icon and the Juhl inspired circle prints. The prints are available in scarves, dresses, and blouses that mary perfectly with the natural toned solid ensembles. Fabrics range from soft sumptuous leathers and silk to industrial cotton.

IRK Magazine appreciated the nomad quality of the macramé knits of recycled cotton yarn that loosely reference the saddlebags of Persian nomads. Once again Nobi Talai bridges heritage and modernity in this exquisite collection.
