Under Attack! SANKUANZ FW19

Shangguan Zhe consistently works around the thoughts of annihilation and assurance, assault and guard and this exceedingly point by point collection is rich with deconstructed and reconstructed urban and military details. The dressy and casual elements are hybrid pieces inspired by marine elements including details drawn from military diving suits, killer whales and sailor uniforms.

The SANKUANZ FW19 show was held at one of Paris's artistic centers Sothebys. Seeking out new aquatic areas, the models walked in red light to a mechanic soundtrack, reassuring and disturbing at the same time. The designer continues to build on his thoughts on modern society with this concept. The distinctive black and white silhouettes taken from killer whales whales inspired the tailoring of spandex tops and jackets or the wet look of black tuxedo suits. The sleek shapes develop into more casual and designed outerwear that is drawn directly from high-tech diving suits. The clothing is cut in a variety of classic and innovative fabrics and enriched with a myriad of details, such as the waterproof zipper 's from wetsuits used on denim and leather. The bold jewelry with dagger earrings and finger covered rings worn together to form gloves.

For the first time Shangguan Zhe also included women's looks in her men's collection. The fierce models were dressed in sleek shiny suits, tight zipped leather and layered bomber jackets.

To top off the looks the models carried a collection of three airtight and waterproof adjustable bags inspired by the scuba diving theme developed in collaboration with the global life style brand Herschel Supply.
