BraveGentleman show at NYFW

New York Fashion Week - Brave GentleMan founder Joshua Katcher presented the brand's Fall 2019 collection of made-to-measure, luxury suits and accessories made of sustainable vegan friendly materials. The evening was hosted by actor Alan Cumming who arrived in Brave GentleMan’s forthcoming burgundy chambray bamboo suit with a light blue windowpane check and a pair of The Weekend Sneaker, a minimalist, tan dress sneaker that emphasized the comfort of the suit.

The collection is the first luxury, vegan suit collection to be made from Italian-milled bamboo suiting fabric, which has a sumptuous, soft hand. Made in New York City at the sustainability and technology-focused Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator, Katcher’s collection was an homage to classic suiting, with garments spanning traditional dark navy, rich brown, bold blue, black and charcoal gray. Three-piece suits with slender pants and two-button, notch-lapel jackets were accompanied by matching vests and ties. A dressed-down tuxedo with a shawl collar made from recycled polyester sateen, a dressed up bomber-style jacket and a motorcycle-jacket inspired blazer with tastefully pleated, wider leg pants were a fresh take on suiting.

The presentation, held at the Mercer Hotel in Soho, was an intimate affair for the senses featuring live music from the meditative, baroque-pop Eüsh and hypnotic singer-songwriter Anni Rossi, vegan French macarons from Sweet Maresa in understated splashes of masculine color, and wine and bubbles from Whitecliff Vineyards in New Paltz, New York.

The sustainable vegan friendly suits, shoes, and accessories are currently available on bravegentleman.com.
