GUNTHER F/W 2020 PFW

During last year’s Paris Fashion Week for men, GUNTHER garnered the media’s attention for making the American rapper Offset one of the event’s best-dressed guests. This year, the Parisian design house launched its second collection with their first-ever fashion show at the Hôtel National des Arts et Métiers.

The Parisian fashion house offers a men’s wardrobe consisting of classic pieces revisited with modern and urban influences. According to its creator, Naomi Gunther, the brand also tries to be as eco-responsible as possible. It uses bio or natural raw materials, as well as recycled, eco-responsible or limited edition fabrics. GUNTHER’s Autumn/Winter collection consists of pieces made of recycled wool and silky cashmere.

The collection, named ‘Jour Blanc’, draws inspiration from a snowy, cold day on the mountain. This is evident, as the collection consists of pieces such as coats, jackets and knitwear with interesting patterns and neutral colours. The styling of the models of the show was also particularly interesting – highlights and white ‘frost-like’ brows being dominating factors.

Themed accessories such as ski masks, hats and handbags were also included in the ‘Jour Blanc’-collection, as well as a white fluffy bathrobe with matching slippers. ‘Comfort’ is the keyword that best describes the collection, that will keep you both warm and incredibly stylish in cold conditions.
