The South Korean designer Kimintē KimhēKim presented his FW26 collection, titled “Enter the Spectrum” on Monday, 2nd March 2026, at the Palais de Tokyo.

Marking a decade of KIMHĒKIM, the FW26 show held a special significance. Since launching his label in 2016, his mission has been to foster a creative community for artists of all kinds. In a nod to the anniversary, the invite featured a candle that appeared on a four-tier cake at the shows’s grand finale.

Reimagined signature: A Decade of KIMHĒKIM

The 41 looks presented in KIMHĒKIM’s FW26 collection bring Couture to life for everyday wear. The collection reimagined the Maison’s signature pieces into natural, accessible silhouettes. Starting off with pastel coloured mod mini dresses accentuated through oversized bow details. Followed by a series of dramatically draped satin pieces flowing into oversized silhouettes, held in place by giant pearls. The collection created a dialogue between feminine and masculine energies, expressed through the evolution of the colour palette and structure of the clothes. Transcending from romantic pastels of pink, mint, and cream into a neutral spectrum of beige, black, and grey.

KIMHĒKIM FW26 Collection Transcends Between Masculine and Feminine

The refined craftsmanship of KIMHĒKIM’s visual identity, in his FW26 collection, is expressed through abstract tailored ensembles. Moreover, the collection established a masculine code through oversized blazers and pinstriped suits. Complementing this structure, signature elements like the ruffled details maintained the brand’s feminine core.

Unusual Textures: Hair as a Detail

Moreover, sculptural hair pieces return, echoing the ‘Hair Chronicles’ from the brand’s FW22 collection. Inspired by styling his cousin’s hair as a child, KIMHĒKIM firstly translates this nostalgic fixation into a technical study of fiber. Subsequently, he captured this passion into the FW26 collection by creating six hair looks. In this vision, the hand-braided hair creates a structural yet fluid silhouette. Ultimately, these avant-garde pieces transformed hair into a new form of couture.

Trend Alert: Funnel neck jackets

In KIMHĒKIM’s FW26 collection, extreme high-neck collars define the outerwear, creating a sharp, architectural frame around the models. By doing so, he reinterpreted the traditional trench and overcoat through a lens of avant-garde minimalism. The trend of the funnel neck jackets was a popular feature throughout the latest Fashion Weeks, seen notably at Courregès and Victoria Beckham.

Subversive styling codes

Pushing the boundaries further, KIMHĒKIM’s FW26 collection experiments with deconstructed styling. Sheer shirts transform into delicate skirts, while repurposed trouser waistbands redefine the classic midi skirt. Furthermore, this playful twist is blurring the lines between traditional wardrobe staples. In conclusion, the FW26 collection successfully translates the Maison’s DNA into an accessible, intimate expression of everyday luxury.
