KIMHEKIM’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, "Dreamers," presented on September 28 at La Faculté de Pharmacie in Paris, was a poetic reflection on aspiration and imagination. Designed by Kimintē Kimhekim, the collection masterfully blended heritage with modernity. Known for its expert tailoring and craftsmanship, KIMHEKIM once again pushed the boundaries of fashion by transforming mundane objects like pillows and blankets into tops, dresses, and bags.
The collection paid homage to dreamers everywhere, with relaxed silhouettes that included trench coats draped over sleepwear, evoking a whimsical, minimal aesthetic. Dream figures such as Andy Warhol and Marilyn Monroe served as muses, adding a playful nod to the world of fantasy and aspiration. True to the brand’s ethos, Kimintē combined minimalist shapes with intricate details, creating couture-level pieces that felt both effortless and disruptive.
A standout feature of the collection was the dreamy pink spray printing and handwritten motifs, inspired by Kimintē’s habit of journaling ideas upon waking. This collaboration with BlackWing, a brand beloved by artists, infused the collection with personal and artistic expression, further blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.
The special invitation, featuring transparent white "pills," symbolised the forgotten purity of dreams. By offering this metaphorical "pill" to guests, KIMHEKIM positioned itself as a guide, inviting the audience to enter a world of possibility. The dreamy, imaginative ambiance of the show complemented the ethereal designs, creating an immersive experience that celebrated both creativity and craftsmanship.
In "Dreamers," Kimintē reinvents the boundaries of modern fashion, infusing it with historical depth while maintaining a resolutely contemporary, avant-garde spirit.
