La Petite Maison

A Joyful Jaunt to the Mediterranean, Right in Mayfair – La Petite Maison, glamorous, relaxed, and fun!

La Petite Maison is a place that makes you forget about your phone, allowing you to fully enjoy the moment. You can engage with those around you, rather than just texting them about the incredible food!

Côte d’Azur

Celebrating fashion, culture, lifestyle, and the essence of Brigitte Bardot, LPM takes you on a sensory adventure. This adventure is deeply seated in the Riviera’s ethos. It starts on the Côte d’Azur and the Ligurian coastline, but extends around all the shores of the Mediterranean. It’s a joyous tribute to everything that makes life beautiful, daring, and joyfully spirited. Relaxed yet smart; elegant, and a little eccentric – it feels like a members’ club, without the need for a membership.

Heart of Mayfair

La Petite Maison is a little secret that we want to share but also keep to ourselves! It is tucked away in a quiet mews (on the corner of Brooks Mews and Avery Row) just behind Claridge’s in the heart of Mayfair, in London. It’s a beautiful spot! It feels like you’ve been transported out of London to the Med. You relish the charm of La Petite Maison.

As you enter La Petite Maison, life suddenly feels brighter. The walls are lined with vibrant art that pops against the clean, white backdrop. There’s a lively energy in the air — a lovely buzz. The bartenders are busy shaking and stirring on the traditional zinc-topped bar. Tables are invitingly set with crisp white linen and dressed with vibrant, perfectly ripe tomatoes, zesty lemons, and rich green olive oil. This invites you to craft your own delightful first course, if you so choose. This interactive approach provides a lovely, simple way to start your meal. It complements the in-house-made bread.

Leafy terrace or Dining Room

Our table awaits on the beautiful leafy terrace—it’s decision time! It’s summer, the sun is shining, and there’s a lovely cooling breeze. However, the dining room is so inviting. It’s a tough choice, but I decide to sit in the beautiful dining room for my first visit. I want to enjoy the buzz. I’m with a girlfriend, it’s not a romantic tryst! We want to see and be seen!

The Tomatini

LPM provides the perfect setting to enjoy a wonderfully dry martini. However, our charming server suggests that the Tomatini—the restaurant’s signature twist on a martini—is the best choice for a first visit. Made with Ketel One vodka, pure ripe Campari tomato essence, white balsamic vinegar, sugar, a pinch of salt and pepper, and garnished with a vine-ripened tomato. With the doors open and a gentle breeze flowing in, the sunlight fills the space. It casts delightful shadows that dance across the room. Life feels good!

La Petite Maison captures the sophisticated essence of the French Riviera. It celebrates indulgence and the pursuit of pleasure, with a nod to the hedonistic lifestyle of the jet set from the 1950s to the 1990s.

The peaceful terrace is the perfect place for your French Riviera fix – minus the crowds. It’s ideal for indulgent leisurely lunches and balmy London evenings spent feasting on LPM’s exquisite menu. Trust me, you won’t want to miss a single dish at La Petit Maison!

First things first: Les Cocktails.

LPM has created a cocktail menu inspired by the legendary French artist, writer, and bon vivant Jean Cocteau, titled “Recipes for Our Friends.” Designed to reference La Belle Époque, the cocktails reference some of the key moments in Cocteau’s life.

“Eugène” is a tribute to Cocteau’s mentor and grandfather. It’s a warming blend of Remy Martin VSOP, Mancino Rosso, Mandarin Napoleon, sandalwood, and salted prunes. Served in a simple coupe, accompanied by a clever rice paper invitation as the garnish.

The “Pablo” cocktail features Botanist Gin, tarragon, and a clarified orange and mint cordial. Finished with herb-infused olive oil to represent the Spanish artist’s oil paints.

The most elegant drink on the menu has to be The “Lettré á Coco”. It consists of Ketel One Vodka, Champagne Cordial, Jasmine, Bergamot, and Rose. Delivered with a charming, wax-stamped pink envelope and served with a spritz of Chanel No5 perfume. It’s a tribute to Cocteau’s friendship with Coco Chanel. Inside the envelope is a copy of a charming, original note from Cocteau to Chanel, which reads: “Don’t ever change.”

Italian/French Riviera-inspired cuisine

However, the star of the show at LPM is the fresh and zesty Italian/French Riviera-inspired cuisine, prepared à la minute. LPM celebrates the vibrant flavours of the Mediterranean. It emphasises fresh ingredients and traditional recipes that evoke a sense of place. Sun-soaked artichokes, lemons, olives, courgettes, tomatoes, peppers, and girolles all stand out. The freshest seafood, meat and pasta hit all the pleasure points. Each dish tells a story, inspired by a culinary legacy that has pleased discerning palates for decades.

La Petite Maison is for sharing

The menu is devised for sharing. Each dish is a delightful treasure and a catalyst for conversation. Dining here feels like a celebration. Every shared laugh and mouth-watering morsel serves as a joyful reminder that life is meant to be savored. Dishes are à la minute and come as they are ready. First up, and fresh from the sea, and kissed by the Riviera breeze, the sweetest Huĩtres et Sauce Mignonette au Yuzu. There’s also the creamiest, ooziest burrata you can imagine—melt-in-your-mouth rich, with a buttery texture and a delicate tanginess, bursting with luxurious stracciatella. Chef Patron Raphael Duntoye’s signature dish, Crevettes Tièdes à l’Huile d’Olive, features warm prawns served in a buttery olive oil sauce. This is accompanied by a vibrant, sweet, and refreshing pomegranate and corn salad, as well as melting lamb cutlets, and baby chicken marinated in Amalfi lemon.

Blackleg Chicken, seafood carpaccio, scallop carpaccio, escargots, grilled lamb cutlets, turbot, macaroni with truffles, and desserts like the crème brûlée and pain perdu.

Every dish is sublime. The flavours linger in your memory long after the last bite, making it an unforgettable visit.

LPM is a taste of the magic of the French Riviera. The focus is on enjoyment—savoring exquisite food, exceptional wines, and the company of good friends. It’s a gathering space where the indulgent spirit of the Mediterranean thrives. Allowing you to reconnect with the art of savoring life’s simple pleasures in style. It’s food that makes you smile. Je L’aime!
