Vivienne Hu’s Spring Summer 2020 collection seamlessly fused modern street style with the luxurious aesthetic of European 19th Century upper-class fashion. Using bold textiles and sophisticated tailoring, Hu’s collection ranged from elegant and classic suit silhouettes to sexy yet sophisticated cocktail dresses. Fresh prints from the designer featured the peony flower which embodies romance, prosperity, and good fortune. The dynamic collection featured a variety of hues, from highly saturated colors to bold blacks and stunning metallics.
New York Fashion Week guests were treated to a live performance from top Chinese soprano, Chang Sisi and American recording artist Elle Varner who opened the show with a powerful duet of “Only Wanna Give it to You,” as models walked the runway.
