Arthur Avellano presented this Tuesday, June 19th his SS19 collection at the Bauer stadium during Men’s Fashion week. This young Designer who graduated from the beaux-art of Toulouse, shows us once again a streetwear collection with his signature material LATEX.
He worked with a German factory to carry out the research on this subject and managed to use latex in all of his pieces. With this innovation, his oversized pieces become more fluid. Inspired by the fetishist culture, queer, subculture, he expresses his art through the garment which for him is more an object of design.
He surrounded himself very quickly with professionals to realize his show like a spectacle. This season, one finds an installation of the theme "EXCALIBUR" with the very pop colors realized in the Atelier de Paname.
IRK enjoyed a day at the football stadium where very sportswear pieces were reworked the cuts with bands of latex on shorts, tee-shirts, tank tops: « le vestiaire (locker room) Arthur Avellano ».
Even the models wearing the collection were atypical and broke the standards we expect which accentuated the street culture pieces. He also introduced new palette of colors including orange, yellow and pastel blue. we found bomber pleated sleeves, long trench ruffle dress-shirts tailored and reworked at the waist marked by a belt. shoulders are pronounced and all sporting ankle boots and sneakers with the collaboration of Designer ROMBAUT.
