Gardeco Objects presented a new selection of art and design objects, bringing together international artists, skilled craftsmanship, and refined materials.

At Maison&Objet 2026, Gardeco Objects introduced the “Azurro” collection, designed in collaboration with Simona Sbordone, as well as “Pagus”, the glass collection by Studio Segers. In addition, Gardeco presented “The Visitor”, originally launched in 2009 and designed by sculptor Guido Deleu, in a new, exclusive Giftbox.

“Azurro” by Simona Sbordone

Italian designer Simona Sbordone found inspiration in the Mediterranean landscape of Capri when creating “Azurro”. The pieces evoke the rock formations and natural elements of the island. The metallic and stone materials recall basalt and carbonate rock, while the shapes reflect the natural movement and structure of the island’s landforms. Subtle layers of blue, black, and silver tones finish the surfaces of these bronze sculptures, evoking the Mediterranean Sea.

“Azurro” also draws from 60’s stylistically, bringing to mind the classic and bold Mary Jane shoes. With this collection, Gardeco Objects also marks the beginning of a new collaboration with Simona Sbordone, whose sculptural work brings a distinctive new voice to their collection.

“Pagus” by Studio Segers

Inspired by the typical architecture of rural villages in Flanders, Belgium, Studio Segers designed “Pagus”, named after the Latin word for “countryside”. Gardeco Objects presented this glass collection at Maison&Objet 2026.

The collection consists of three sculptures: Farm, House, and Tower. The pieces recall archetypal architectural forms and feature warm tones. They are crafted from mouth-blown glass by the artisans at Cá d’Oro, a handcrafted glass studio in Minas Gerais, Brasil. Together, the sculptures form a miniature countryside scene, evoking a small village that evokes both familiarity and community. Furthermore, as each piece is handmade, every sculpture is unique.

“The Visitor” by Guido Deleu

“The Visitor” is one of Gardeco Objects’ most iconic pieces, designed by sculptor Guido Deleu and launched in 2009. The ceramic figurine is handcrafted by the Brazilian studio Cores da Terra and is available in more than forty colours.

At Maison&Objet 2026, the piece was reintroduced in a new format. Gardeco presented an exclusive giftbox that pairs a Visitor Small and a Visitor Mini in new Moss green and Dark plum colors. The collection’s evolution also continues with the introduction of a new tone, Blue maia intense. This color was inspired by the intense Yves Klein Blue, the deep, luminous ultramarine blue hue developed by the French artist Yves Klein in collaboration with Parisian paint merchant Édouard Adam.

I have always been very curious and interested in many different areas of knowledge. Over time, I understood that the best way to pursue my interests is to also be able to communicate them.

I enrolled in a Communications degree, majoring in Journalism. Later on, I pursued a Master’s in Arts, Cognition and Criticism, in order to expand my communication expertise into the art criticism field. I approach art subjects and themes by combining my journalism training with my knowledge of art analysis, both at a cognitive and at an institutional level.

My passion for fashion goes hand in hand with my passion for the arts. Beyond the aesthetic aspect, I am interested in the narratives, the identity and the cultural significance behind a piece of clothing, a painting or a photograph.
